New Delhi [India], August 23 (ANI): A woman died of electrocution in the Ranjeet Nagar police station area of the national capital following waterlogging on Friday, said Delhi police.
As per the initial enquiries, the victim was electrocuted through current in the water in the street while she was going towards her house.
According to the police, the incident of electrocution happened in Gali No. 8, near Sarkari Toilet, Ranjit Nagar and the woman who died was identified as Seema (40).
The place of the incident was flooded due to heavy rains; the victim was electrocuted through current in the water in the street while she was going towards her house.
After that, the electricity in the area was disconnected by informing the TPDDL officials, and Seema (40) was immediately taken to the RML hospital, where she was declared dead.
Appropriate action will be taken as per the findings of the post-mortem. (ANI)
