Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], November 12 (ANI): Congress leader Pawan Khera on Tuesday launched a scathing attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and challenged it to nominate any leader to visit any Congress-governed state to see the implementation of the schemes.
His response came in the wake of repeated attack by BJP leaders about implementation of promised schemes by the Congress governments.
“We challenge the BJP to nominate any leader to visit any Congress-governed state… Let them go around every district of these states and see how our schemes are being implemented. Otherwise, they should stop lying… They don’t know how to manage the economy. They take a 40 per cent commission on every project… We have proved it in Karnataka, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh,” he said.
“When Manmohan Singh was the PM, we proved it in the country, despite all our schemes, the economy was on track and the GDP was growing,” he added.
Khera alleged that there were conflicts in the ruling Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra.
“There is no infighting in Maha Vikas Aghadi. Mahayuti alliance internally has too many conflicts,” he said.
Campaigning has intensified for the 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra with both the ruling Mahayuti and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) making efforts to woo the electorate.
The polls are scheduled for November 20 and counting will be held on November 23. (ANI)
