Guwahati (Assam) [India], October 9 (ANI): In its continuous efforts to curb trans-border crimes and smuggling along Indo-Bangladesh boder, the troops of Border Security Force (BSF) Guwahati Frontier seized 5 gold biscuits during a special search operation in the Coochbehar district of West Bengal.
Acting on credible intelligence, vigilant bordermen of 138 Bn BSF, launched a meticulously planned search operation in the border area.
“As a result, 5 gold biscuits weighing 583.410 grams, valued at approximately Rs 45.03 lakh, were successfully seized,” the PRO of BSF Guwahati Frontier said.
He also said in a press statement that, given the sensitive nature of the Indo-Bangladesh border and the increasing activities of trans-border smugglers and anti-national elements, the BSF has been intensifying its operations to effectively dominate the region.
This operation marks another significant achievement in the BSF’s relentless fight against illegal smuggling and other cross-border crimes. (ANI)
