Nellore (Andhra Pradesh) [India], September 4 (ANI): A devastating fire broke out at a firecracker storage warehouse in Kallurupalli Housing Board, Nellore district, on Wednesday, claiming the life of watchman Subbiah.
The blaze destroyed the Bhavani Traders firecracker storage facility, but fortunately, a young man working at the site narrowly escaped unharmed. Firefighters responded swiftly to control the flames, preventing further damage or casualties.
Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, Nellore RDO Malol and other revenue officials inspected the site. Rural CI Venu is investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
“In Nellore city outskirts, a major fire broke out at Bhavani Traders (firecracker storage) near Kallurupalli Housing Board. The firecracker manufacturing centre was destroyed, and the watchman was charred to death,” said Rural CI Venu.
The warehouse’s location on the outskirts prevented additional casualties or major property damage beyond the immediate area.
