New Delhi [India], September 2 (ANI): The Jannayak Janata Party held a meeting of its Political Affairs Committee on Monday and is likely to announce its first list of party candidates for Haryana polls on Tuesday.
Former Haryana Deputy Chief Minister and JJP chief Dushyant Chautala said if the party forms the government, 50 per cent of posts in teaching in institutions of Haryana will be reserved for women.
“A meeting of the party’s political affairs committee (PAC) and advisory board was convened. In the meeting, various points of the party’s manifesto were finalised like increasing the compensation of Rs 15,000 per acre to Rs 25,000 per acre for damaged crops of farmers. After the party forms the government, 50% of posts in teaching in institutions of Haryana will be reserved for women…The party will release the first list of candidates for the Haryana assembly elections by tomorrow late evening,” Dushyant Chautala told ANI.
JJP and Chandra Shekhar Azad’s Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) have allied for the upcoming Haryana Assembly polls.
The alliance will contest on all 90 Assembly constituencies in Haryana with JJP competing on 70 seats while ASP on 20.
Haryana will go to polls on October 5 in a single phase. Other political parties including BJP and Congress are also finalising their candidates for the polls. (ANI)
