New Delhi [India], July 31 (ANI): Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Wednesday praised Indian Railways and its personnel in the Lower House and urged members to recognise their contributions.
“We should also praise the Indian Railways and its personnel. Despite having a large railway network, most of the trains arrive on time,” he said during a discussion in the Lower House of Parliament.
The Lok Sabha Speaker said that he also travels by train. “Its personnel work with full dedication. A good message should reach out to them from Parliament.”
On Tuesday, both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha witnessed discussions among MPs regarding recent tragedies, including landslides in Wayanad, a train derailment in Jharkhand, and a coaching centre tragedy in Delhi.
The budget session of Parliament began on July 22 and, according to schedule, will end on August 12. (ANI)
